Fun ornament party favors and a picture of me!

I remember learning about this domino ornament craft last year from Kimberly at Raising Olives, but never got around to doing it.  This year Roan at Joyful Always inspired me to give it a try.

Twinkle Toes and I got a little carried away, so we decided to give them as party favors next week at our Christmas party.  I wish I could say this turned out to be the fun family craft I envisioned it being, but I wasn't able to let Measle (7) and Prince (4) get involved to the degree they would have liked to, which is to say at all.  They got to stamp paper and make cards while Twinkle Toes and I did the ornaments.  (With non-permanent ink and markers, of course!)

Twinkle Toes (9) and Queen (2)

Monk (11)
And lately everyone's wanted their picture taken in front of our Christmas tree.  Big D even took a few of me!

Calvin was not nearly as excited as I was about the picture.

  3. Your domino ornaments turned out fabulous! Weren't they easy? I must say that I DID let Leah and Sam make some. With permanent markers! And I actually gave them as gifts. Hopefully the recipients will think they are "cute" since Sam made them! Leah's actually turned out great.

Your pictures of you look great!

I'm an on-the-run mom to 6 kids who studied and taught exercise science in a previous life. I love all things running, nutrition, and health-related. I usually run at zero dark thirty in the morning and am often quite hungry before, during, and after my run, but I live a rich, full, blessed life with my children, family, and friends. My faith in God is my anchor, and looking to Him and His promises allows me to live fully even when life circumstances are difficult. While running gives me an appetite, my desire is to hunger and thirst for righteousness more than for physical food.
