Can you tell I'm smitten?

A stack of notes and articles I intend to blog about sits next to my computer- untouched.

Boxes of Christmas decorations adorn our living room and our 9 foot tree is only
decorated as high as the children can reach.

A sewing project, yes you read that right, sits half finished on our homeschool table-
with no end in sight.

But all is well.  And though I didn't get up as early as I had hoped this morning, the kids and I had a wonderful time in God's Word and prayer.  Turns out you can have morning devotions anytime in the morning : ).

  1. As is well- bask in this moment- he won't be little like this for long and you will be wanting these days back. Sounds kinda silly to say, but I rather enjoyed lots of cuddle time with Emily when she was sick on Sunday. I am so glad to hear that you all had a wonderful time in God's Word today.

I'm an on-the-run mom to 6 kids who studied and taught exercise science in a previous life. I love all things running, nutrition, and health-related. I usually run at zero dark thirty in the morning and am often quite hungry before, during, and after my run, but I live a rich, full, blessed life with my children, family, and friends. My faith in God is my anchor, and looking to Him and His promises allows me to live fully even when life circumstances are difficult. While running gives me an appetite, my desire is to hunger and thirst for righteousness more than for physical food.
