Christmas recitals and brunch

My mother-in-law took the girls to get their hair done before their recital.  Don't they look adorable?

Monk, Twinkle Toes, and Measle reciting parts of Luke 2 before performing Away in a Manger together.

Monk and Twinkle Toes did a great job of accompanying their little sister.

Measle has a beautiful voice.  She played a verse, sang a verse, then played another verse.

They performed twice yesterday at two different nursing homes.  Then they played this morning in church.  Thanks Nana for all the practice sessions and for buying their holiday recital clothes.  It paid off!  The kids looked cute and sounded great!

Thanks Dad for treating us to Santa's brunch after church today!  Big D and Monk talk about it all year!

I'm pretty sure Queen's our first 2 yr old to pose happily with Santa.  In fact, she liked him more than he ended up liking her.  Or maybe it was the big dish of candy that kept her going back to Santa every time we turned around.

What a fun couple of days we've had!

I'm an on-the-run mom to 6 kids who studied and taught exercise science in a previous life. I love all things running, nutrition, and health-related. I usually run at zero dark thirty in the morning and am often quite hungry before, during, and after my run, but I live a rich, full, blessed life with my children, family, and friends. My faith in God is my anchor, and looking to Him and His promises allows me to live fully even when life circumstances are difficult. While running gives me an appetite, my desire is to hunger and thirst for righteousness more than for physical food.
