Camping at Bixler Lake

Guess who loved swimming in the lake?

Meanwhile, our land lover enjoyed playing at the playground.

And playing in the dirt.

More playing at the lake.

Look at our treasures!

And playing in the street.

Scenic walks.

And nature hikes.

Future naturalist.

Thank goodness for big brothers.  By the end of our little hike, Louie was needing a helping hand.  Her brother carried her about half the way back, which saved my back.

  1. How beautiful!! Wish we could have gone with you! My kids need some good outdoor time. It's been over 105 degrees for 2 weeks straight. yuck. Anyhow, I think we have a moving date. We may be heading out either September 2nd in the afternoon or September 3rd in the morning. We may be able to stop by if you will be home those days?

  2. Celee,
Love, love, love the full diaper pic! How cute is that? Also just wondering...I'm going to start reading my Bible in the mornings. Never done this before and I feel awful for saying that! How/where do I start? It seems so overwhelming to me! I knew you'd be just the one for me to ask :)

I'm an on-the-run mom to 6 kids who studied and taught exercise science in a previous life. I love all things running, nutrition, and health-related. I usually run at zero dark thirty in the morning and am often quite hungry before, during, and after my run, but I live a rich, full, blessed life with my children, family, and friends. My faith in God is my anchor, and looking to Him and His promises allows me to live fully even when life circumstances are difficult. While running gives me an appetite, my desire is to hunger and thirst for righteousness more than for physical food.
