The mystery of the missing socks, solved!

When reaching in to get some diapers out of my fancy schmancy washing machine,
I noticed something peeking out at me.

Look at that.  There's something hiding in there!

Aha!  Found you!

I wonder how long these socks have been hiding out in here.

Their mates will be glad they've been found.

In other news, today I remembered that Calvin's supposed to have some tummy time each day.  Yes, that's right.  He's my sixth child and I forgot until today that he's supposed to spend time on his stomach every day.  Great.  Now he's going to be behind developmentally.  Hopefully he'll catch up later.

What do you think?  Is he enjoying himself?

Is it just me or is he really cute?

  2. I find socks in that very same place! Now I check that area every time I put clothes in the dryer. When I first got my front loading washer, I tried to save money by using my regular washing powder, just less of it. Big mistake. The washer stopped working, and the repairman pulled out some sort of clogged filter (clogged by the wrong kind of detergent). The filter also had a sock, some change, fingernail clippers, and other things that I have forgotten. I only use HE detergent now!

I'm an on-the-run mom to 6 kids who studied and taught exercise science in a previous life. I love all things running, nutrition, and health-related. I usually run at zero dark thirty in the morning and am often quite hungry before, during, and after my run, but I live a rich, full, blessed life with my children, family, and friends. My faith in God is my anchor, and looking to Him and His promises allows me to live fully even when life circumstances are difficult. While running gives me an appetite, my desire is to hunger and thirst for righteousness more than for physical food.
